Roads for Life (RFL) delivered certificates to 2 new classes of ER physicians and nurses who took part respectively in its ATLS and ATCN training sessions, which are organized thanks to the strategic partnership with Fransabank and Bank Audi and under the supervision of head of region 17 in the American college of surgeons Doctor Georges abi saad.
The 38th class of ATLS graduates included 12 ER physicians, whereas the 24th class of ATCN graduates was composed on 17 nurses.
The sessions, which were held over a 3-day period at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), encompassed theoretical and field training covering the latest rescue techniques.
RFL President Zeina Kassem said: “Beirut is the 5th Arab capital city, after to adopt the 10th revised edition of the ATLS training program and the 8th edition of the ATCN program, thus emphasizing the fact that Lebanon is keeping up to date with the latest techniques in terms of rescue culture. What we currently need is for the Ministry of Health to keep supporting this track, knowing that it had helped us, at earlier stages, consolidate the sustainable rescue culture in governmental and private hospitals.”
The hospitals that took part in the latest ATLS and ATCN sessions were: Al-Makassed Hospital, Al-Rasoul Al-Aazam Hospital, Al-Hamshari Hospital, Ragheb Harb Hospital, Al-Borji Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, Notre Dame University Hospital, Saint Georges Hospital, Al-Borj Hospital, Lebanese-Italian Hospital, Kesserwan Medical Center, AUBMC, and the Military Hospital.
