IPT Group and MTV have come together for the “Ensa Joura” initiative, officially launched on January 17th at IPT’s Headquarters in Amchit, under the slogan: “Because your safety is our goal, IPT will fill the potholes”.
The initiative aims to address Lebanon’s widespread pothole problem by targeting to repair up to 1000 potholes across the country in the coming few months, preventing further roads’ deterioration, improving roads’ safety conditions, and fostering the longevity of local infrastructure. The project, implemented in collaboration with Michel Issa Foundation (MIF), and Dialogue for Sustainable Development (DSD), is powered by an innovative British Technology, utilizing a specialized truck equipped with advanced emulsion techniques for efficient and lasting pothole repairs. Central to this, is the involvement of IPT’s extensive network of stations, spread all over the Lebanese territory, serving as pivotal notification centers enabling citizens to report pothole’s locations.
The day began with a demonstration of IPT’s commitment to excellence through a visit to the terminals, including a live fire drill showcasing utmost dedication to safety. A tour of the sustainable station on the Amchit highway highlighted the company’s environmentally responsible practices, and was followed by a hands-on experience filling of a pothole near the IPT fuel terminal.
Back to the headquarters, guests were introduced to the Ensa Joura initiative by MTV’s CEO, Mr. Michel El Murr, who expressed his enthusiasm for the collaborative initiative, stating: “Ensa Joura is a testament to what can be achieved when the private sector comes together and joins forces for the greater good. Improving road conditions is not just about infrastructure; it’s about ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.”
Dr. Toni Issa, Executive Chairman for Issa Group, welcomed the partnership, stating, “We take great pride in collaborating with MTV. Today, we mark the first step towards establishing a long-term sustainable partnership that will begin by having a positive impact on the roads of Lebanon. It underscores our shared values, uniting our two companies and reflecting our mutual belief in the potential of the private sector”.
This new initiative is a substantial step toward improving Lebanon road conditions. By combining resources and expertise, IPT Group and MTV are dedicated to making a lasting impact on the country’s transportation infrastructure, ultimately contributing to a safer and more prosperous Lebanon.
