Beirut, Lebanon-2023: In the pursuit of the “Let’s Light Up our Community” collaborative initiative launched by “Rebirth Beirut” and Medco, and investing the effort to revitalise our beloved capital, Spinneys expands its collaboration with the NGO for the second time after lighting up the streets of Mar Mitr and Adib Eshak in Ashrafieh as part of the extensive mission to light up many of Beirut’s communities. Specifically, the Palace of Justice square, the Cardinal Gabriel Tabouni street, the Pierre Gemayel Corniche and partially, the Habib Basha El Saad street, have all been illuminated as a way to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents and civilians passing through those areas. These lit up streets don’t only facilitate the lifestyle of communities but also create an environment of peace and security.
This initiative aims to encourage the collaboration between associations and private companies by uniting their goals and strategically joining forces and effort for the general good. This is particularly relevant to Spinneys’ social responsibility towards the community.
Commenting on this matter, Ralph El Kahi, Chief Marketing Officer at Spinneys said: “Based on both the principals and patriotic vision of Spinneys, and the start of a promising touristic season, Spinneys is proud to collaborate again with “Rebirth Beirut” to lighten the dimmed areas of Beirut. We recognize the incidents these commutes are in, hence our goal is to solidify the moral obligation of the private sector and associations to give back to our cities and light up even more areas and roads”.
Spinneys always seeks to find long term solutions to serve the country and its citizens. This initiative is only one of many projects that Spinneys takes on to provide secondary sources of energy and sustainably light up the totality of its branches and all of Beirut’s lively streets.
