Beirut, May 26th, 2016: Gata Events & Promotions officially inaugurated today the fourth edition of “Designer’s Week” – the annual design exhibition – at Zaitunay Bay in the presence of many social and governmental figures headed by Mr. Jamal Itani, the President of the Municipal Council of Beirut, and Sandra Ghattas, Gata’s Managing Director.
Organized in collaboration with Beirut Waterfront Development and Solidere, and welcoming visitors every day from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m until Sunday 29th of May 2016, the exhibition includes more than 100 exhibitors this year with 26 new comers, which underlines the role of Designer’s Week as an address for novelty and an undisputed platform to launch up-and-coming talents and brands on their way to fame.
On its first day, Designer’s Week attracted more than 10,000 people who visited the grounds to discover the latest Spring-Summer 2016 trends in the following categories: prêt-à-porter, fashion accessories, beachwear, home accessories, jewelry, bags, and shoes.
In the past three years, the exhibition proudly introduced more than 300 designer brands, artisans and small enterprises, many of whom have gained local and regional acclaim. The event has also attracted more than 200,000 Lebanese visitors, tourists and foreigners living in Lebanon, looking to enjoy the outdoors in style and explore the latest fashion, jewelry and home accessories’ creations.
