27 November 2014 – The Eurobest Festival of Creativity has received 4,811 entries across 16 entry categories. On Saturday, 102 jury members are set to meet in Helsinki to commence the judging of Europe’s best in creative brand communications.
“What sets Eurobest apart is that it celebrates regional work but provides it with the springboard to have global relevance – which is helped by the use of an international jury and the fact that it covers all touch points of the creative industries from advertising, design, innovation to digital, PR and media. As such, it will be really interesting to see the trends, innovations and ground-breaking work that emerge from Eurobest, as these will be indicative of those in the industry worldwide,” commented Philip Thomas, CEO of Lions Festivals.
Ahead of the Festival, the Innovation jury, led by Ami Dror, Managing Partner, Zaitoun Ventures, Israel, has completed a preliminary round of judging to arrive at a shortlist of entries, each of which will be presented live to the jury and delegates at the Festival. Commenting on the category, Ami said, “We reviewed some fantastic entries making it extremely hard to choose the shortlist but we are now looking forward to seeing some innovative presentations in Helsinki.” The UK tops the shortlist with five entries, while Spain, Russia, Finland and the Netherlands also have shortlisted work – all of which can be viewed here. Live judging takes place on Monday 1 December and is open to all delegates, who will be able to witness the region’s latest innovations and technologies first hand.
The following number of entries have been received in each category: Branded Content & Entertainment (199), Design (274), Direct (342), Film (460), Film Craft (315), Innovation (61), Integrated (54), Interactive (439), Media (375), Mobile (180), Outdoor (520), PR (277), Print (465), Print & Poster Craft (278), Promo & Activation (428), Radio (144).
Eurobest, now in its 27th year and this year running from 1-3 December, will offer an unrivalled three-day learning experience with seminars, practicals, huddles and courses. Alongside this, networking evenings will capture the spirit of Finnish hospitality and allow delegates to see behind Helsinki’s agency doors. The awards ceremony will see an evening of celebration as the 2014 winners are revealed. There is still time to register to attend and further details can be found at www.eurobest.com.
