BEIRUT, Lebanon – June 02nd, 2015 – Under the patronage of the Moroccan Embassy, Hilton Hotels in Beirut invited their partners, clients and local media and influencers to the launch of the first ever Moroccan cultural week in Lebanon. In partnership with Royal Air Maroc, the event took place at the Emirates Hall on June 1st and featured a Moroccan music festival, a traditional fashion show and a delectable Moroccan culinary feast.
Famous for its multiethnic civilization and rich culture, Morocco brings to the world a remarkable diversity of influences that is reflected in their unique traditional clothing masterpieces, their massive annual music and arts festivals and their delightful and flavorful cuisine. Throughout the Moroccan Cultural Week, Hilton Hotels in Beirut aim to reveal Morocco’s magical culture to all Lebanese who are curious about this country’s civilization, traditions and gastronomy.

Reviving the Moroccan heritage, Moroccan chefs flew in from Morocco bringing along their secret recipes and special spices; an eight-member Moroccan band will be performing a wide variety of the country’s diversified repertoires. The opening night saw a traditional fashion show featuring hand-made Moroccan traditional dress: Qaftans and Jellabas.
“We are honored to share a glance of Morocco in an amazing country already rich in knowledge”, said H.E. the Morrocan Ambassador in Lebanon, Ali Omleil. “During the upcoming week, the Lebanese people will get the chance to live a pure Moroccan experience, where they will be exposed to the country’s cuisine, arts and entertainment; it will also show the Moroccans the new Lebanon – a place of stunning beauty, of great resilience, of talent and ingenuity. We hope that many people will get the chance to experience this collaboration and unique cultural exchange”, he continued.
The Moroccan festivities will forge ahead from June 1 – 10 at Le Ciel Restaurant, situated on the 31st floor of the Hilton Hotel, with a daily traditional buffet reflective of the rich Moroccan culinary culture. With the week’s special menu and festive ambiance, the start of summer will surely be hot and memorable for all guests.
