Beirut, October 6th 2015 – Tumi, the international brand of bespoke travel and business accessories, celebrated its 40th anniversary with the launch of their newest Fall/Winter collection at Le Yacht Club – Beirut. This is the first event of its kind that Tumi holds in Lebanon.
Members of the media and Lebanon’s top executives were invited to a cocktail event on the pool deck of Le Yacht Club- Beirut where they were given the opportunity to preview the new Fall 2015 collection all while enjoying the picturesque sunset view. During the event, invitees were mingling and networking as well as being guided by Tumi professionals through the history of the brand and the latest line of bags.
Founded in 1975 by Charlie Clifford after having spent some time with the Peace Corps in Peru, the company gets its name from a ritual knife ceremony used for sacrifices. For its latest collection, Tumi went back to its Peruvian roots, aptly naming it the “Core Collection”. Inspired by the country’s geography, the bags are a seamless mixture of strong neutrals peppered with color, bringing highly sought after warmth to the cold season. The collection stays true to the brand’s values of unifying functionality and style and bringing durable yet attractive luggage and travel accessories.
The Fall/Winter 2015 collection is already available in the Tumi boutique in Downtown Beirut. Tumi proved its authenticity and stayed true to its essential principles of guaranteed comfort and sophistication, all while staying innovative and a pioneer in its industry.
Wherever Tumi goes, its core values go with it.
