Beirut – September 15th: The Malt Gallery, the first whisky boutique in Lebanon, hosted an exclusive tasting event to introduce Nikka Japanese whisky which is the latest Brand to join the diversified portfolio of Etablissements Antoine Massoud.
Editors and media representatives gathered over a special onboarding session with Nikka Brand Ambassador for Europe and the Middle East, Mrs. Sayumi Oyama, who embarked with them on a journey into the world of Japanese whiskies. The Ambassador explained the foundation of the brand and moved to the tasting of three expressions of Nikka Range: “Nikka From The Barrel” which is a blend of malt whisky and grain whisky; the “Coffey Grain” which is distilled in Coffey still, rare patent continuous still and is made mainly from American corn and the “Coffey Malt” made from 100% malted barley, which offers new sensation for whisky enthusiasts.
Mr. Michel Jabbour, boutique Manager of The Malt Gallery, highlighted the mission of such an endeavor and explained that “the objective is to educate the Lebanese public about the varieties of the Single Malt and to introduce them to the richness of whiskies around the world no matter the source, be it Japanese, Scottish, Taiwanese, or Indian”.
Attendance immersed themselves in the tasting of Nikka whisky and enjoyed the savor of an innovative spirit accompanied by select food and chocolate. This year, Nikka received an award for its best distillery in the world.
