Jdeideh, May 23, 2014: On the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the International Advertising Association, the IAA Lebanon Chapter celebrated the Diamond Jubilee, in a Black-Tie Gala Dinner, held in tribute to Mr. Antoine Choueiry.
Over 250 persons gathered at La Magnanerie, among them the Ministers of Education M. Elias Bou Saab and Information Mr. Ramzi Jreij represented by Mr. Andre Kassas, in addition to the IAA World President Mr. Faris Abou Hamad and a wide attendance from the Advertising industry from Lebanon and the region.
The Lebanon Chapter’s president Mr. Joe Ayache highlighted in his speech the importance of the Lebanese Admen in the IAA, especially Mr. Choueiry, the pioneer, who leveraged the industry’s standards.
“Legends never die” was interpreted in a documentary that underlined the prominent events of Choueiry’s life in a collection of facts and testimonials that tell a lot about a great man, and the IAA commemorated him with a reflective painting presented to his family.
This tribute was accompanied by a series of entertaining shows that featured Aline Lahoud who vividly performed an enchanting repertoire, the 8e Art band that took the attendees back to the origins with the Feyrouziyat, and the diamond jubilee shined with the LED Angels’ choreography. Last but not least, the Advertising memories were revived during the gala with the broadcast of “the best of the best” Lebanese old TV Commercials.
