The CMA CGM Corporate Foundation is launching its sixth Call for proposals. This year, the Foundation will support projects aimed at promoting equal opportunities for children from disadvantaged backgrounds in France (exclusively in the PACA region) and in Lebanon. A total budget of 160,000 Euros will be divided between the projects received in France and in Lebanon.
The amount of financial aid, between 5,000 to 35,000 Euros, will be granted to projects aimed at improving life conditions, the well-being and personal fulfilment of children coming from underprivileged backgrounds, on one of the following areas:
- reducing educational inequalities, maintaining or restoring a school setting;
- access to adapted cultural, sports or leisure activities;
- support for equipment to maintain or reinstate family ties;
- support for equipment enabling the improvement of living conditions in collective reception areas;
- support for projects that promote digital integration (a process that aims to make digital technology accessible to all children).
The specifications and application form are available on the CMA CGM Corporate Foundation’s website. All applications must be submitted online, until February 16, 2018 (https://fondationcmacgm.optimytool.com/en/).
About the CMA CGM Corporate Foundation
Created in 2005 and chaired by Mrs Naïla SAADE, the CMA CGM Corporate Foundation is committed to help the most vulnerable children. In 12 years, it has helped about 200 projects in France and Lebanon which strive to improve the daily life of ill children, children from disadvantaged backgrounds or with disabilities.
Sensitive to humanitarian and societal issues, the CMA CGM Corporate Foundation has also been engaged since 2012 in a broad humanitarian operation called “Containers of Hope”. This operation allows some international NGOs to ship for free their humanitarian equipment on the boats and lines of CMA CGM all over the world.
