The Antonines Sisters School (Hazmieh and Jamhour) held a lecture of the novel “Mabna Al Ahlam” (Dreams Building) by the author Roy G. HARB, in the presence of Sister Nazha KHOURY, the director of the School, and the President of Hazmieh Municipality Council Mr. Jean Elias EL ASMAR, in addition to a large number of the school’s students and educational team and media figures. During the ceremony, it has been announced that the novel “Mabna Al Ahlam” will be launched as an e-book on Amazon and Kobo. It will also be translated into French due to the success that it achieved in Lebanon and to being presented at the “Valence” exhibition.
After the national anthem, the author and the media figure Chadi MAALOUF, who has hosted the ceremony, said: “Dreams are cultivated as an idea, irrigated with hope, developed with ambition, and supplemented with endeavors, so one day dreams wandered over to the “Mabna Al Ahlam”, and this is the case of our friend, the author, professor and the administrative Roy HARB with his dreams”
As for Sister Nazha KHOURY, the nun of HARB during the elementary school, she said: “By going back to the beginning of my mission in Hazmieh, I can see again that spoiled child who is now a professor, a journalist and a writer, who we are proud of”. As well she ended saying: “towards more writings, openness, brilliance and excellence.”
“My father encouraged me to write, to dream and not to admit any barriers that people put in our way in order to limit our ambitions, unless our dreams are in conflict with our society or our morals, then dreams are illusions, so dare to dream, and dare to change many stories in your life for the better, perhaps your generation could change what we couldn’t improve in our country”, said the writer Roy HARB.
He ended his speech saying “Many thanks to my family, the Antonines family, which I consider “the school of life”; it is not just stones but an essential part of my life”. In particular, he also thanked Sister Nazha KHOURY for all the advices that she gave him during his elementary school and until today, as well he thanked his teachers, especially Samia SAADEH, Hala AL QA’I and Sonia AL ASHKAR.
