Beirut – Monday, 23 April 2018 –The Dar Al-Ajaza Al-Islamia’s annual dinner was held on Friday April 20th for its 66th anniversary at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut under the patronage of Prime Minister Mr. Saad al Hariri and in the presence of President Tammam Salam, President Fouad Siniora, Mrs. Mona Hrawi, Mr. Fouad Makhzoumi, Mr. Salah Salam and many other political and social figures.
The ceremony was animated by Guy Manoukian and Ragheb Alama. The dinner included a speech by Prime Minister Hariri and Dr. Mahmoud Faour, Chairman of Dar Al-Ajaza Al-Islamia.
In his speech, Prime Minister Saad al Hariri said: “We bow with respect to the humanitarian services of Dar Al-Ajaza. This association has always been dear to the heart of the late Prime Minister Rafic al Hariri. He was always consistently present on all its occasions.” He added: “It is a noble mission and we must all help and stand by Dar Al Ajaza and we will work to issue a law which guarantees the elderly right to live in dignity.”
In his speech, Dr. Faour said: “On the occasion of the 66th anniversary, we are holding this ceremony to introduce the mission of the association, in order to raise awareness to the community and to highlight Dar Al-Ajaza Al-Islamia’s efforts to serve discretely the elderly from all sects, religions and regions of people who desperately needs our support and help.”

Despite the hospital’s limited potential, it provides numerous services to the community and to people.
The 600 beds existing at the hospital are loaded with patients and there is a waiting list for admission.
The hospital provides its services for nearly 600 residing patients, and the hospital aspires to achieve the development project in Dahr Al-Mghara area; this project would contribute to raising the number of beds to 2000.
