Beirut, 10th of June: On Wednesday June 10, the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital doctors and staff took a stand of condemnation against violence inflicted on doctors and on any members of a medical team. This initiative came at the invitation of Dr. Selim Zeineh, Head of the Urology Division at the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital and in the presence of his excellence the Minister of Dr. Health Hamad Hasan and the Head of the Lebanese Order of Physicians in Beirut Dr. Sharaf Abou Sharaf.
Various members of the medical team and personnel of the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital gathered in the central garden to honor doctors who got aggressed and to express a strong disapproval and objection with regards to the way doctors have been recently treated, be it in Tripoli, Rayyak or anywhere else.
Doctors are people who swore to take care of the ill and to practice medicine with compassion, humanity and ethical standards. Therefore, it is shameful that doctors or any medical member be treated in a way that is far from respect and appreciation.
