STÉPHANE JÉGO AND ZIAD ASSEILY WILL TAKE OVER THE KITCHEN OF LIZA BEIRUT FOR A UNIQUE FRANCO-LEBANESE DINING EXPERIENCE.
WEDNESDAY 6TH MARCH 2019FOLLOWING THE SUCCESS OF PREVIOUS COLLABORATIONS BETWEEN LIZA BEIRUT AND GREG MAALOUF AS WELL AS OMAR KOREITEM OF RESTAURANT MOKONUTS, LIZA AND ZIAD ASSEILY ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS YEAR, THEY WILL BE INVITING STÉPHANE JÉGO OF L’AMI JEAN. The evening promises to be an exceptional one as Stéphane and Ziad team up to create an innovative four hands menu with a selection of mezzes and big plates to share, influenced by both French and Lebanese cultures, and based on produce from local farmers that are partners of LIZA Beirut.
A spontaneous chef, Stéphane Jégo enjoys conveying stories in his kitchen and never ceases to transform and recreate. He describes his kitchen as a festive kitchen that sets aside habits, tics and reflexes and pushes him to explore what his imagination suggests. Constantly searching for a certain freedom of independence and creation, this collaboration with Liza represents for him a new enriching experience.
By opening their door once again and uniting their inspiring skills with other chefs, Liza and Ziad Asseily celebrate creativity. They put forward the talents of the culinary and design world and take great pleasure in organizing, both in Paris or Beirut, collaborations which mean a lot to them.
These collaborations always start with an encounter. In this case, Liza and Ziad met Stéphane Jégo through their childhood friend Hala Bustros. A Franco-Lebanese, passionate about fine food, Hala develops during her various travels a list of good addresses, restaurants or bistros. She has a calling for meeting the talents behind the culinary world and sharing their story and their expertise.
In return, this summer Stéphane Jégo will welcome Liza and Ziad for a French- Lebanese night at l’Ami Jean in Paris.
