Beirut, December 20, 2018: Careem, the leading tech ride-hailing company in the region, including North Africa, Turkey and Pakistan, celebrated Christmas this year by organizing a joyful visit to the SOS Children’s Village Bhersaf, the oldest SOS Center in Lebanon founded in 1969 that supports 13 families, to draw a smile on the kids’ faces.
Careem team and student Champs were keen this year to share these exceptional moments with SOS children, providing them with the feel of giving at Christmas and a family to spend time with. Various fun activities were on the agenda of the visit, where the little souls were filled with happiness and joy.
Commenting on the visit, Mr. Ibrahim Manna, Managing Director of Emerging Markets at Careem, said: “We chose SOS to give all orphans a family to celebrate Christmas with. SOS is a Lebanese non-governmental organization specialized in social development and a member of the International Federation of SOS (SOS CV), the parent organization of 135 local SOS organizations in the world, including nine associations in the Arab countries. The Society is part of a large movement in the world to support the rights of children deprived of parental care or at risk of losing them by providing family care through the Family Enhancement Program.
Careem Champs that are students from different universities were honored to be part of this visit that allowed them to engage in social activities that promote their spirit of responsibility towards their society.
