Beirut, October 10, 2019: Under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Tourism Mr. Avedis Guidanian, Toni Makhoul, the distinguished musician and composer, is preparing to tour the world with his new show “Le Grand Spectacle”, starting off from Lebanon in a one and only show on October 24, 2019 at the theater of Casino du Liban.
The big concert will include a new show and a remarkable production, with more than 90 performers on stage in an unprecedented unique performance. Written, composed, arranged and produced by Toni Makhoul, the show combines Music Compositions, Philharmonic Orchestra, Choir, Singers, Dance Performances, Artistic Video Displays, and all in a new unique combo.
This live performance, guided on stage by Toni Makhoul performing on his guitar, includes musical and songs, and the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Bassam Challita. As for the choreography by Sandra Abbas and Asadour Euredjian, it will feature 30 dancers performing diversified styles such as tango, waltz, disco, salsa, ballet, samba, Spanish, rope dance, and much more.
“Le Grand Spectacle” will include artistic video displays prepared for each melody or song by director Elias Absi, and will be broadcast on a giant screen, adding to the entertainment of the audience and the grandiose of the show. Commenting on this idea, Toni Makhoul, who refuses to include in his show any song or musical not of his own compositions, said: “I wanted to create a show that features the maximum possible kinds of art and performances. Le Grand Spectacle will be a unique show, born in Lebanon and touring the world, showcasing artistic scenes beautifully diversified, reflecting a civilized image of Lebanon and sending a message of love to the whole world.”
After the successful launching of his latest album “New Dawn” in December 2018, the multi-talented composer, arranger and producer Toni Makhoul had a visionary spirit that demanded a grand approach that resulted in Le Grand Spectacle. It will be revealed for the first time on the stage of Casino Du Liban in the presence of selected invitees including politicians, diplomatic corps, artists, media/press, in addition to friends, music lovers, and festival organizers. Let’s not forget Toni Makhoul’s famous quote “ without beautiful melody there is no music”.
