Under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Energy and Water Joe Saddi, and in the presence of H.E. Minister of Industry Joe Issa El-Khoury, the Lebanon International Solar Week 2025 (LISW 2025) was officially inaugurated yesterday at the Seaside Arena – Beirut Waterfront. The event continues until tomorrow, September 26.
The opening ceremony, held on September 24 at 5:00 p.m., witnessed a large turnout of officials, professionals, and the public, alongside wide media coverage both locally and internationally, reflecting the importance of this milestone event.
The exhibition serves as a leading platform for the renewable energy sector in Lebanon and the region, bringing together top local, regional, and international companies, as well as experts, innovators, and public institutions. Its goal is to showcase the latest innovations in production technologies, storage solutions, and smart systems, while fostering networking opportunities and knowledge exchange.
Mr. Elias Khoury, CEO of Promo Team, the organizing company, stated:
“Over the past 30 years, we have organized more than 120 specialized exhibitions in Lebanon and across the Arab world. Today, we focus on highlighting the solar energy market, which by 2024 had already attracted over $1.3 billion in investments and achieved 1,300 MW of alternative energy capacity. With accelerated growth, the sector is expected to surpass the $2 billion mark soon.”
A key highlight of LISW 2025 is the launch of the first electric “mini-van” manufactured in Lebanon, alongside a wide range of innovative local and international solutions in sustainable mobility, smart energy, and future-ready technologies.
The event emphasizes the importance of public-private partnerships in strengthening Lebanon’s energy independence and positioning the country on the global map of sustainable development.
