During the initial stage of judging, up to 30 Shortlisting Jurors will work alongside the Awarding Jury to define the shortlist. Awarding and Shortlisting Jurors will work together and be grouped into sub-Juries for the first round of judging. Each sub-Jury contains a minimum of one member of the Awarding Jury and includes a balanced mix of gender, location, network, holding company and speciality to ensure impartiality. Awarding Jurors take part in all the rounds of judging, including the initial round. Every single entry is viewed by a member of the Awarding Jury, who will be responsible for finalising the shortlist and awarding metals in Cannes.
