Beirut, Lebanon – 11 August 2016 – Cirrus, today announced that they have joined the Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program, offering customers and independent software vendors (ISVs) greater confidence from a partner ecosystem when building their next-generation IT projects using Red Hat solutions. As a Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider, Cirrus plans to leverage Red Hat JBoss and Red Hat Enterprise Linux to offer its customers in the Banking and Finance, and Insurance Industries Platform-as-a-Service solutions (PaaS), as well as to design and deploy customized applications for the sectors.
Cirrus, part of TrustTech Holding, has a proven track record in providing comprehensive enterprise-class cloud computing solutions and managed services, catering to different service models and deployment scenarios. Growing competition in the region’s banking and finance sector is driving innovation as organizations are being forced to rapidly roll-out robust services in line with market needs. Cirrus sees this as an opportunity to engage with small to medium organizations and enable them to compete effectively through the utilization of powerful yet cost-effective cloud-based solutions. In fact, in the short period since signing the partnership agreement with Red Hat, the service provider has already on-boarded its first customer for the Red Hat based PaaS offering.
Cloud provider models have expanded beyond multi-tenant public clouds to include private cloud build-outs, Linux container-based infrastructure and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions, and the Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program was created to offer additional flexibility to help solution providers better meet customer needs for cloud-based Red Hat technologies. By using a Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider, customers and partners using custom-developed or third-party ISV applications certified to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and other Red Hat solutions, can have greater confidence that these applications will function as expected when using them on a public cloud or managed service provider.
Red Hat’s Certified Cloud and Service Provider designation is awarded to Red Hat partners following validation by Red Hat. Each provider must meet testing and certification requirements to demonstrate that they can deliver a safe, scalable, supported and consistent environment for enterprise cloud deployments. The globally-unified program provides customers, ISVs, and partners with the confidence that Red Hat product experts have validated a given solution so that implementations can begin with a solid foundation.
