The compounded crises currently affecting Lebanon increased the protection risks, especially for women, girls, and marginalized groups such as persons with disability, undocumented women and girls, and members of the LGBTIQ+ community.
In view of the multi-layered crisis facing the country in 2020, UNFPA Lebanon scaled up its programmatic interventions to assist survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and individuals at risk with lifesaving specialized services. The office also worked to strengthen the capacity of service providers to provide inclusive and quality assistance to survivors.
