(Middle East, June 2nd 2015) In 1952, Breitling launched a chronograph that was to become its most emblematic model and one of the great 20th century watchmaking classics: the Navitimer. In tribute to the legendary 1950s Navitimer AOPA, the luxury Swiss watchmakerhas created a 500-piece limited series of the iconic watch, with just seven of these models now available in the Middle East. The limited edition timepiece showcasesan exclusive engraving of theAircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) logo and provides the ultimate collector’s piece for aviation enthusiasts.
Won over by the original instrument, the world’s largest association of aircraft owners and pilots, which was founded in 1939 in the United States, chose this model as its official watch. As a result theAOPA logo appeared on the dial of many Navitimers produced during the 1950s and 60s.
