Paris, July 2014 – The fall-winter 2014-2015 Couture show of Georges Chakra was held on the 9th of July at the Palais de Tokyo during Paris Fashion week.
Inspired by the 1950’s photographic masterpieces of Richard Avedon & Irving Pen, the new heroin of Georges Chakra rises to the epitome of glamour, worth sumptuous royal balls: Gracious and imperial silhouettes that experiment all the fast of couture.
The master of ceremony, the cape has many versions: short, long, inversed…but also the signature: nude back with transparencies and graphic cutouts. The fabrics mix harmoniously with soft velvet, iridescent organza, brocart, digital printed gazar, raphia, tulles covered in flowers, fur with rays of paillettes. A refinement that eludes modernity and contrast.
The palette of colors varies between ruby, bright red, aubergine, sapphire, bleu canard, gold, silver and black. Geometric and graphic sequins illuminate the deep colors of the collection.
Mixing soft romanticism and modernity, the bride closed the show in a floral halo that radiates elegance and glamour.
