The glam is back! After a staggering success in 2013, and for the second consecutive year, Beirut Designers’ Week – the ideal platform for designers – hits Zaitunay Bay again this May 8-11, 2014 to celebrate Lebanese craftsmanship and dazzle with its Spring-Summer 2014 collections including the latest trends in fashion, jewelry and furniture design and accessories.
Organized by GATA Events & Promotions s.a.r.l., in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Trade and Solidere, and in partnership with Beirut Waterfront Development SARL, Beirut Designers’ Week 2014 will provide a unique platform for rising designers to showcase their brands and exhibit their creations to thousands of visitors.
Opening under the “Spring Blast” concept, this year’s edition of Beirut Designers’ Week counts a new list of rising designers and brands, in addition to a line-up of last year’s favorite exhibitors, showcasing the latest in haute couture, prêt-à-porter, sportswear, gold and fashion jewelry, fashion accessories, beachwear, footwear, bags, design furniture and home accessories.
Despite an unfavorable political and security-related situation in Lebanon, Beirut Designers’ Week 2013 had scored an unprecedented success, attracting more than 40,000 Lebanese, Arabs and foreigners in only 4 days. Amazed at the incredible flow of people, Zaitunay Bay’s management had thanked the event organizers, for choosing this location to hold their exhibition, praising the extensive communication and media campaign that ran in parallel to the event, as well as the company’s high sense of professionalism. From the exhibitors’ side, the event exceeded all expectations starting from the number of visitors and the sales volume, to the networking opportunities and the incredible media exposure.
Such feedback encouraged the organizers to carry on with a second edition of Beirut Designers’ Week this year, challenging once again the unstable political situation in Lebanon and the region, as they hoped to be able to accomplish their mission in 2014 as well: to support the industrial Lebanese sector and promote entrepreneurs in the design field whom are playing a pivotal role in the country’s economic growth.
So fashionistas, glam addicts and design fans, it’s time you get those agendas out and save the date for the trendiest event of 2014: Beirut Designers’ Week 2014, May 8-11, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Zaitunay Bay’s lower promenade. You don’t want to miss it!
