Dubai, UAE 29th March 2017: The leading facilities and professionals providing the Middle East’s ultimate guest experiences are to be celebrated with the announcement of the first ever Middle East Hospitality Awards (MEHA).
Taking place in Dubai this September, the awards will acknowledge excellence across the region’s diverse hospitality sector by rewarding hotels, resorts and restaurants that have demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation and visitor relations in the last year.
They take over from the Middle East Hotel Awards following five successful years – and will run on the second evening of The Hotel Show Dubai (19th September 2017) – with the endorsement of industry leaders including Ambassador and Judge, decorated Chef and restaurateur Gary Rhodes OBE.
Ray Tinston, Portfolio Director – Hospitality at dmg events, organisers of MEHA, said: “Our new-look awards reflect how the industry is evolving, with new categories for restaurants, bars, spas, sporting facilities, event and nightlife venues and more – all of which are central to today’s guest experiences.”
The 17 new MEHA categories for 2017 are today revealed as: Luxury Hotel of the Year, Boutique Hotel of the Year, Mid-Market Hotel of the Year, Hotel Launch of the Year, Resort of the Year, Best Bar / Nightlife Venue, Best Gym / Sporting Facility, Best Spa / Wellness Centre, Most Impressive Hotel Feature, Best Hotel Developer, Best Use of Technology, Best New Restaurant of the Year, Best Event Venue, Best Team of the Year, Head Chef of the Year, Hospitality Leader of the Year, and The MEHA Lifetime Achievement Award.
