After a series of achievements and a career that is spread wide around the world, from Broadway to Cannes, Mike Massy’s next destination is Paris as he was selected to play Jesus in the leading role of the upcoming musical by Pascal Obispo and Christophe Barratier “Jesus de Nazareth à Jerusalem”.
Giant screens at the Olympia theatre’s entrance displayed Massy’s photos as Jesus, the full cast and crew of the musical were present on Tuesday the 28th of March to introduce to the press and media their upcoming project that showcases the last 3 years of Jesus Christ’s life in a documentary and music videos.
The play opens at the “Palais des Sport” in Paris on November 17th 2017.
Massy addressed the French media and confirmed that his participation in this project is an important milestone in his career and it is a beautiful message as a Middle Eastern, specifically Lebanese artist hoping to convey a positive image of the East away from the images of violence that the media reported lately.
Massy is set to release his upcoming album in the coming months before he embarks on this new adventure to start the rehearsals of the play in August in the French capital.
