Beirut, Lebanon – Beirut-based online video subscription service M.media has announced the national launch of its beta platform on www.m.media. Starting this month, the platform now provides entertainment with a twist from Beirut to the world, targeting as a first phase Lebanon and selected territories with important Lebanese and Middle Eastern diasporas.
With a taste for quality content, cultural relevance and social impact, www.m.media has been filling its online compilation with classic, edgy, compelling films, plays, series and documentaries, from or about Lebanon and the Middle East. The selection includes hit titles like Ghadi, Single Married Divorced, Habbet Loulou, Marcedes, Stray Bullet, the controversial motion picture Beyrouth Hotel and
many more.
Established by the Quantum Group, M.media also strives to produce innovative original content, having already contributed to the production of Ziad Rahbani’s plays that were turned into films, of which the record-breaking Bennesbeh Labokra, Chou? is now available to stream on the platform. Other projects included the Bachir Gemayel documentary series.
For the company, this launch is an exciting step towards effectively giving a new voice to the established filmmakers and content creators, supporting and encouraging the young talent, reinforcing the local Video-On-Demand (VOD) model and developing the film industry as a whole, through a seamless ad-free video streaming platform.
Following the beta release of www.m.media, the company will expand its audiences across the world, to become the go-to gateway for Lebanese and Arab locals or expats who want to stay connected to their roots or follow up on what’s hot in their culture, from anywhere around the world.
www.m.media offers subscribers ad-free unlimited access to its culture-packed content for a 5$ monthly fee. It also gives newcomers the chance to try out the service for free, for a whole month.
