Beirut, November 11, 2015: For the second consecutive year, Bacardi hosted the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition in Lebanon. Last year’s competition crowned Jad Ballout from Central Station Boutique Bar as Lebanon’s winner, with his cocktail “El Mediterraneo” that contains Bacardi Carta Blanca, Lemon Juice, Sugar Syrup, Skinos, Basil and Olive Oil Drops on top, continuing to become a runner up in the Bacardi Legacy Global Final held in Sydney, Australia.
Richard Neil Irwin, MEA Regional Brand Ambassador for Bacardi Limited Portfolio, Eric Ballad a previous Bacardi competition finalist and the host of the Global Finals of Bacardi Legacy 2015 in the UAE and Nick Kombarakis, an award winning bartender, founder and creative director of The Alchemist Says Brand, were assigned as judges for this year’s semi-final to select the 3 most promising bartenders to proceed to the final in February 2016.
The semi-final was held at Cinemacity VIP Lounge at Beirut Souks, where the 10 candidates Ayman Zayour – Ferdinand, Chadi Jaber – Neighbors, Daniel Sawah – Calle, Elie Kazmouz – Stairways, Elie Kreydi Central Station, Johnny Mansour – Junk Yard, Mike Kassabian – Cinco, Mirelle Eordekian – The Bohemian, Rawad Makarem – Eau De Vie | Phoenicia Hotel and Wael Kosaifi – February 30 competed where Wael Kosaifi, Elie Kreydi and Ayman Zayour made it to the final.
