Beirut, February 2017 – The INSEAD Alumni Association in Lebanon elected a new executive committee for a three-year mandate, following a general assembly held in Beirut on January 19th, 2017. The members of the newly elected committee are: Samer Dada (President), Anthony Boukather (Vice-president), Carine Rizk (Secretary), Jihane Azar (Treasurer), Mounir Doumani (Accountant).
For the occasion, Mrs. Zeina Sleiman, Associate Director of Alumni and Institutional Relations at INSEAD said: “The INSEAD Alumni Association in Lebanon strengthens the global community through unique insights, skills and experiences.” She added: “INSEAD’s robust alumni community is a critical element to the School’s continued success. In Lebanon, we have a dynamic association with a high level of commitment and involvement with the school.”
INSEAD is a graduate business school with campuses in Europe (Fontainebleau, France), Asia (Singapore), and the Middle East (Abu Dhabi). It was established in 1957, and is widely regarded as one of the best business schools in the world.
In January 2017, The Financial Times (FT) placed INSEAD in the number 1 spot for the second consecutive year under its “Global MBA Ranking 2017”. In 2016, INSEAD’s MBA was the first one-year program to reach the top of the prestigious ranking, joining an exclusive club which includes only four other business schools to have reached this spot.
Following the presentation of the yearly results and achievements of the outgoing committee, candidates presented their program, which included plans to develop the association’s network in Lebanon, the reinforcement of intergenerational ties between its members, and the contribution to the advancement of business praxis in Lebanon.
The newly elected executive committee then concluded the general assembly by thanking the members of the outgoing committee: Nagy Rizk, Marc Geara, Coralie Zaccar, Youssef Kamel et Nadine Khoukaz, for their dedication and contribution towards the development of the association during their mandate.
The INSEAD Alumni Association in Lebanon has over 300 registered alumni, it welcomes about 20 new members every year.
