Byblos Bank Headquarters, Monday, 02 March 2015: Byblos Bank extended cash support to three non-profit associations in a ceremony held at its Headquarters in Ashrafieh during which each of the “Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon”, “Anta Akhi” and “Caritas Lebanon- Ashrafieh Sector”, received the worth of 10,000 USD in cheques. Representing the outcome of one of its social initiatives for the third year in a row, these donations are the result of the Byblos Bank’s partnership with three of its suppliers in the process of providing end-year gifts to head of institutions and large enterprises. Suppliers have contributed to this operation by cutting a percentage of their profits and Byblos Bank has added a similar share and distributed the whole to three designated associations. On the occasion, Mr. Fadi Nassar, Deputy General Manager and Head of Group Commercial Banking, said: “Through the strategic relations we have built with our suppliers, we wanted to transform an annual tradition into an occasion to help NGOs achieve their noble humanitarian missions. This tripartite partnership represents a model that Byblos Bank hopes it would become mainstream in Lebanon.” The suppliers participating in Byblos Bank’s initiative for this year are: Vintage Wine Cellar, Les Caves de Taillevent and Patchi. Byblos Bank, keen on playing an active role in backing civil society organizations, is regularly taking initiatives in support of humanitarian, social, cultural and environmental causes. These initiatives aim at improving the living standard of the Lebanese based on their needs and aspirations, and ensuring that they are allowed decent living conditions.
