“Together, We Stay Strong” A National Campaign to Promote Solidarity, Empathy and Shared Humanity
Beirut, 3 April 2026 — As Lebanon faces rising social pressures linked to ongoing hostilities and large-scale displacement, the Ministry of Information and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with Dawaer Foundation, have launched a national campaign to promote solidarity, counter disinformation and divisive narratives, and strengthen constructive public discourse.
Under the slogans “Together, We Stay Strong” (#سوا_منضل_بخير) and “Lebanon Recovers Through Its People” (البلد بيتعافى بناسو), the campaign highlights how communities across Lebanon continue to come together, while promoting reliable information and amplifying stories of solidarity at a time of heightened tensions and uncertainty.
Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos said: “At this critical and difficult stage that Lebanon is going through, the role of the Ministry of Information stands out in supporting this national campaign. We are committed to strengthening media discourse in a way that reinforces what unites the Lebanese people and brings them together. Today, we carry an ethical and professional responsibility to confront misinformation and highlight stories of solidarity that reflect the true nature of our society.
He added: “Our participation stems from our commitment to supporting responsible media that builds trust among citizens, especially in light of the challenges imposed by war and displacement. This campaign provides a shared space to rebuild national discourse on the foundations of solidarity, mutual support, and our collective human values—something we need now more than ever.”
The UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, Blerta Aliko, said: “Lebanon today is facing pressures that extend beyond displacement, uncertainty quickly giving rise to tension. At the same time, there are powerful examples of communities coming together supporting one another and choosing solidarity, empathy (humanism) and compassion over fear and division. Through this campaign, and in partnership with organizations on the ground, we aim to strengthen these positive dynamics and reinforce unity at this critical moment.”
In parallel, UNDP is supporting on-the-ground efforts to ease tensions in areas most affected. Through its peacebuilding work, mediators are deployed in municipalities and shelters, youth are engaged in fact-
checking and responsible information sharing, and local committees are mobilized to strengthen dialogue and trust within communities.
The campaign also contributes to ongoing efforts to support media professionals and content creators, reinforcing ethical journalism and responsible communication. Rania Zaatari, President of Dawaer Foundation, said: “During this war, it is essential to uphold media ethics, recognize our shared humanity, and promote responsible communication. With the support of UNDP, we have worked to equip youth, particularly young journalists, with the skills to contribute to a more constructive media environment—one that informs, connects, and brings people together.”
With more than 1.2 million people displaced across Lebanon—many hosted in shelters and communities where services are already under strain—the campaign uses awareness videos, billboards, and media engagement to reach communities across Lebanon. It will run for one month, combining national visibility with local engagement.
