Abu Dhabi, 16 March 2026: Dr. Wael Abdulrahman Al Mahmeed has contributed AED 2 million in support of the “Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans” initiative launched by Awqaf Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The initiative aims to establish a sustainable endowment fund that transforms community contributions into long-term support for orphans’ education, healthcare and living needs, ensuring lasting social impact.
Inspired by the values and principles championed by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, ‘Mother of the Nation’, the initiative builds on the UAE’s globally recognised humanitarian approach, guided by the wise directives of the nation’s leadership.
