Beirut, Lebanon – September 2025 – The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL), with the generous sponsorship of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFund), successfully launched “Thrive Together”, the first regional international capacity-building camp dedicated to empowering young cancer survivors.
Held from September 11 to 14, 2025, the 3-day camp brought together 16 young survivors from Lebanon and across the region at Shangri-La Laklouk, offering a unique platform to strengthen leadership, advocacy, and emotional resilience.
A Regional First
“Thrive Together” went beyond the traditional camp experience—it became a movement of empowerment and collaboration. Survivors aged 18 to 30, nominated by CCCL and regional NGO partners, took part in experiential workshops, expressive arts sessions, outdoor team-building, and survivor-led initiatives.
Program Highlights
- Public Speaking & Storytelling workshops to inspire advocacy
- Expressive Arts Therapy and Music Creation for healing and self-expression
- Yoga, Breathing & Positive Thinking sessions for inner strength
- Adventure & Nature Experiences to foster resilience and teamwork
