A delegation from the French Consulate General in Lebanon visited Hôpital Français du Levant for an introductory meeting and a tour of its medical departments, hosted by Dr. Antoine Maalouf, Chairman of the hospital’s Board of Directors and President of IRCAD Lebanon.
The delegation comprised Consul General Eric Amblard, Head of Social Services Moukhalifa Amara, Deputy Consul Laure Casey, and Pascale Harfouche, responsible for special affairs.
During the visit, Dr. Maalouf outlined the hospital’s services and presented the advanced technologies and pioneering surgical procedures performed by its teams. He highlighted Lebanese medical professionals’ ability to keep pace with international developments and deliver care on a par with leading healthcare systems.
The delegation also learned about IRCAD Lebanon, a centre specialising in training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Working with international experts, the centre supports surgical education and the transfer of expertise and advanced techniques to Lebanon and the region.
Delegation members expressed admiration for the hospital’s medical capabilities and the expertise of its staff, and indicated their intention to maintain contact and follow its future medical and scientific developments.
