Abu Dhabi, 08 September 2026: The Family Care Authority (FCA) affiliated with the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, has inaugurated its new Service Centre in Al Ain in the presence of H.E. Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, the Chairman of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, H.E Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of the Family Care Authority, and a number of senior dignitaries and partners of the authority.
Located in one of the emirate’s most culturally significant regions, the centre reflects FCA’s commitment to advancing accessible and integrated family services within the heart of communities. The opening aligns with the objectives of the UAE Year of Family, reinforcing FCA’s commitment to strengthening family cohesion and resilience.
Designed to provide accessible and specialised support, the Al Ain Service Centre offers social, psychological and advisory services tailored to individuals and families. By centralising key services under one roof, it enables timely intervention, coordinated case management, and comprehensive care that responds effectively to diverse family needs.
The launch reflects FCA’s mandate to develop a cohesive and resilient social services model that protects vulnerable groups, empowers families, and promotes long-term social stability. It reinforces the Authority’s role in translating policy priorities into practical, community-level impact.
Her Excellency Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of the Family Care Authority, said: “Al Ain has long been a cornerstone of the emirate’s social and cultural identity. The establishment of the Service Centre in Al Ain reflects our commitment to reinforcing the social foundations that sustain families across generations. We are focused on bringing support closer to the community and strengthening the foundations of family stability through specialised, responsive and integrated services. We firmly believe that cohesive families play a key role in building a prosperous and sustainable society.
H.E. Al Ameemi added: “As we advance the objectives of the UAE Year of Family, our focus remains to stay dedicated to delivering professional, human-centred services that uphold the dignity, privacy and rights of beneficiaries, while adapting proactively to their evolving needs.”
The opening of the Al Ain Service Centre reflects the pivotal role of FCA within Abu Dhabi’s social sector, delivering integrated family-centred services that support prevention, empowerment and family stability.
The centre will provide a comprehensive suite of services, including counselling and guidance, protective care, alternative care, empowerment and awareness programmes, as well as custody visitation.
