Securite Assurance organized a conference with the aim of presenting its innovative products and solutions. The event took place on Wednesday May 03, 2023, at Phoenicia Hotel Beirut, in the presence of brokers, key figures in the insurance sector, as well as Securite Assurance team members.
The Commercial Director of Sécurité Assurance, Mr. Elias Yaacoub made the opening remarks of the conference, during which he welcomed all brokers and guests and briefed them on the conference’s main topic.
Mr. Anthony Khawam, CEO of Securite Assurance welcomed the attendees, expressing the company’s appreciation and utmost respect for all partnerships formed over the years. He outlined the four key pillars underpinning the company’s success and the success of its partnership with brokers. First leading with products and solutions, second leading with a robust financial standing, third leading with claims and services, and fourth leading with the top-notch services it provides to brokers.
Mr. Khawam explained that through the innovative benefits and services for individual clients (for example telemedicine) as well as through the efficient and innovative risk transfer solutions to corporates, Securite Assurance remarkably surpassed other leading players in the market. He also re confirmed the financial strength of the company as evidenced by an attestation from the insurance control commission as well as its back-up by A rated reinsurers, all of which gives the company the financial space to serve its clients and honor its obligations. As for claims and customer service, he confirmed that “The goal is to have zero client upset. Claims should be paid fairly and quickly. Zero tolerance for that!” He added that the customer service team are dedicated to clients 24/7 with regular follow-ups and feedback calls, ensuring that all needs are met. Finally, he outlined the many services provided to broker, from technical support on large accounts, to the quotation tool and online issuance tool, to the pro app as well as the continuous benchmarking of products.
From their end, departments managers presented the products and plans. Mrs. Enaam Daye, Motor Manager, enumerated some of the motor insurance plans, in particular the advantages of the high value car insurance plan and the newest product for hybrid and electrical cars. Mrs. Layla Haddad, Life Manager, gave concrete examples of the products offered, including PA, Retirement and Education. Mrs. Layla also mentioned the strong ability of the company to place large group life accounts thanks to its reinsurance placement expertise and various arrangements with reinsurers. From his end, Mr. Hassan Krayem, Marine Manager, mentioned the common problems faced in marine insurance, pointing out that “Unlike other companies, Securite Assurance provides the offer for brokers within hours, and not within weeks due to its high capacity provided by reinsurers, making the company a leading player in Marine insurance”. He also stressed that Securite Assurance provides insurance for businesses in all Arab countries and Africa, and has recently developed an online insurance system, as requested by brokers.
Moreover, Mrs. Fanny Daccache, Medical Manager, said that Securite Assurance has achieved a major leap and significant growth in medical, thanks to its various products that cover the needs of all categories of clients. She added “All medical products are priced efficiently, served by Nextcare and contain free 24/7 telemedicine services”. Mrs. Carmen Saadeh, Property Manager, explained how the recent events in Lebanon proved the importance of having a property insurance, while citing its benefits and the various hazards and incidents that Securite Assurance covers with a “best price guaranteed” tag for simple property business.
From her end, Mrs. Mireille Yazbek, COO, assured that Securite Assurance aims to offer products covering a wide array of risks, from the simplest risks to the most complex ones. She added that the company is finding unique solutions for complex risk thanks to its capacities, relationships and arrangements with reinsurers and the capabilities of its sister company ISA Solutions, a reinsurance broker. She further affirmed Mr. Khawam’s points, stressing that Securite Assurance has a strong financial standing and is obsessed with customer service, and has helped brokers better manage and grow their portfolios.
Lastly, Mr. Hrair Kouyoumjian Chief DSF Officer, energized the crowd in his own way. He stated that the success of any producer boils down to the 3 Rs: relationship, reputation and results. Then he mentioned all of those depend on the most important ingredient, us the People. He explained that the insurance sector heavily relies on human resources and that brokers are a key component of the equation and that they were able to adapt and thrive despite the difficult situation. He added that Securite Assurance recognizes their efforts and is doing what it takes to help them continue on thriving. The session ended on a very high note with a standing ovation to honor brokers and their individual efforts.
