Beirut, September 27th 2019: Le Bristol Hotel hosted on September 27 a press conference announcing “Nice au Coeur de Beyrouth”, an exclusive dinner scheduled to take place within ‘Le Weekend Azuréen à Beyrouth’, an initiative aimed at celebrating the centuries-old French-Lebanese friendship. Le Bristol Hotel, in collaboration with ‘Mon Liban D’Azur’ association, will be hosting four of France’s most elite chefs. Michelin Star Chef Christian Plumail, member of the “Grand Cordon d’Or”, Chef Jerome Rigaud, “Magical Pastry Cook” Chef Serge Serain Cappa, and last but not least, the man behind Mic Mac Macaron Chef Bruno Laffargue, Brigade des Etoiles de Mougins.
Joseph Coubat, GM of Le Bristol welcomed the audience and spoke of the long history of friendship and cooperation between France and Lebanon. Geraldine Ghostine President of ‘Mon Liban D’Azur’ introduced the new association created to promote relationships and exchanges between Lebanon and Côte d’Azur, and ‘Le Weekend Azuréen à Beyrouth’, exquisite weekend rich in events, taking place in Beirut.
Michelin Star Chef Christian Plumail and Sabine Géraudie, world-renowned painter from Nice, famous for her iconic La Chaise Bleue de SAB on the Promenade des Anglais, spoke about their excitement to be part of such an enriching experience where culture, ideas and the culinary art were under the spotlight. The attendees were all the guests of Le Bristol’s CEO Marc Doumet that night. They enjoyed his gracious hospitality and a delicious dinner filled with cultural exchange and genuine laughter.
On September 28, a French delegation of politicians from Nice will attend the exclusive lunch at Villa Linda Sursock; Dominique Estrosi Sassone, Senator of Alpes Maritimes and Mr. Bertrand Gasiglia, collaborator of the President of the Department of Alpes-Maritimes, in the next municipal elections of March 2020 will grace Villa Linda Sursock with their presence.
The exquisite lunch will be followed by a dinner prepared by the renowned Chefs at the oldest ballroom in Beirut, the prestigious and authentic ‘Golden Room’ at Le Bristol.
