On October 14, SUKI turned the spotlight on flavor with an unforgettable lunch hosted by Chef Reif Othman, the award-winning, Michelin-recognized culinary force behind the restaurant’s menu. Part of Forked Hospitality Holding, the newly launched venture by Karim Jaber, SUKI has already become Beirut’s destination for street-born Asian soul food.
For one afternoon only, the Singapore-born, Dubai-based chef joined guests at SUKI, where his inventive approach to Japanese and Far-Eastern cuisine came alive in the heart of Saifi Village alongside Head Chef Jeremy, who helms the kitchen daily and brings Reif’s bold vision to life. Guests savored a vibrant spread of dumplings folded by hand, viral handrolls, and bold plates that carried the chef’s signature attitude.
Chef Reif, one of the Middle East’s most influential culinary figures, has earned multiple Michelin Bib Gourmand recognitions, the Chefs’ Choice Award in the inaugural MENA 50 Best Restaurants, and accolades from Gault & Millau UAE. Known for his unconventional flair and viral creations like the wagyu sando and yuzu “toilet roll” cake, his presence at SUKI electrified Beirut’s dining scene.
Born from the chaos of flavor, SUKI is Beirut’s destination for street-born Asian soul food. With its low lights, high energy, and unapologetic dishes, SUKI is not just a place to eat – it is a scene to belong to. Guided daily by Head Chef Jeremy, who leads the kitchen with precision and flair, SUKI continues to embody Chef Reif Othman’s culinary philosophy of fearless flavor. Yesterday’s event cemented that spirit, turning the restaurant into the city’s most talked-about table.
The project is led by Forked Hospitality Holding, founded recently by Karim Jaber, who also manages Amavi, and a new concept coming soon. With SUKI, the group continues to expand its footprint in Beirut’s dining scene, bringing innovative concepts that fuse creativity, flavor, and culture.
