Beirut, November 15, 2018: Careem, the leading ride-hailing app in the region, including North Africa, Turkey and Pakistan, has partnered with its ambassador Basketball Superstar Wael Arakji and ORALGEN MENA for a special mission on World Kindness Day.
The basketball star played the role of a Careem Captain on this particular day, offering free rides for Careem customers on the streets of Beirut. Captain Wael and his passengers sang along, exchanged funny stories and took in ride challenges, while not overlooking safety and security procedures that Careem normally implements during its rides.
Customers were delighted to discover who the Captain was during world kindness day. During this stunt, Marc Hatem, the famous Lebanese artist, accompanied Wael during one of the entertaining rides, as Co-Captain.
Commenting on the occasion, Ibrahim Manna, Careem’s Managing Director of Emerging Market, said: “Careem places customer satisfaction as its top priority, and we seek to provide our passengers with the best innovative experiences. We are thrilled that our brand ambassador Wael Arakji and his Co-Captain Marc Hatem, were able to spread kindness and joy during this special day”
He added: “It is rewarding for Careem to be able to put a smile on its customers’ faces. Our innovative participation during world kindness day showcases our knowledge of the Lebanese market and our desire to fulfil its needs”.
Wael Arakji, Careem’s Brand Ambassador, said: “I would like to thank Careem for its continuous initiatives aiming to draw a smile on its customers’ faces across Lebanon. I am proud to have had the chance to be a Careem Captain on the occasion of World Kindness Day”.
