United Arab Emirates, Dubai, 18 November 2024: Global Village, the region’s premier multicultural family destination for entertainment, dining, shopping, and attractions, joined Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2024 as a leading community Fitness Hub across the emirate. The hugely popular initiative, now in its eighth edition, will run until Sunday 24 November 2024.
With a variety of interactive fitness activities designed to inspire guests of every age and ability, the Global Village Fitness Hub has been motivating families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts hosted at the destination to switch to an active lifestyle. With vibrant hub experiences, Global Village aligns seamlessly with the DFC’s 30X30 goals, encouraging residents and visitors to adopt 30 minutes of daily physical activity over 30 days – further advancing Dubai’s vision of transforming into the world’s most active city.
Designed for children to embark on a joyful exploration of fitness, the Global Show Academy workshops are hosted at the Kids’ Theatre, featuring engaging 30-minute free dance sessions that take place twice between 5:00PM and 9:00PM, every Thursday to Sunday. Parents have been welcomed to watch and encourage their children as they participate in these lively sessions.
As part of the hub activities, Global Village continues to host its highly anticipated Step Challenge, the annual sporting competition that encourages guests to engage in an exciting and active walking journey while exploring Global Village’s unique pavilions, attractions and wider experiences. Activated via the Global Village official mobile application, this year’s challenge keeps inviting guests to each achieve 3,000 steps in just 30 minutes during their visit. Every participant who successfully completes the challenge will be rewarded with a complimentary Wonder Pass, allowing a one single-entrance to the exhilarating ‘Neon Galaxy X – Challenge Zone’.
