Beirut, Lebanon – Rachel K Studio presented its recent exhibition, Dark Play: A Mobile Sculpture Experience, a dynamic showcase of never-before-seen 3D sculptures that
seamlessly merged childhood nostalgia with cutting-edge technology. The exhibition took place at the renowned Ballroom Blitz, a hub of the underground
art scene in Beirut, from the 23rd to the 25th of February from 4:00 PM till 9:00 PM.
This exhibition marked a major milestone in Rachel K’s artistic journey, as it was the first time that the French Lebanese artist and owner of Rachel K Studio integrated robotic
movement into her art. The guests were transported into a world where chaos and mess were transformed into captivating and thought-provoking 3D sculptures,
3D mobile sculptures, 3D canvases, art installations, and a unique hologram, all of which were displayed for the first time in Beirut, Lebanon.
Inspired by her own personality, the exhibition’s theme reflected Rachel K’s signature style of incorporating childhood toys into her works. In this exhibition, the artist took this idea to
the next level by reusing vintage toys and beads to create mobile 3D and canvas sculptures that seamlessly merged her love of art and technology. Visitors had the
opportunity to immerse themselves in works such as “Rchilli,” “Bloomtopia,” “Play Wink,” “Rainbow After Rain,” and many more, all of which
were available for immediate purchase.
As a tribute to her hometown Beirut, Rachel K chose to host this exhibition in the city as a way to contribute to its rebirth and to bring a burst of life and color to a place that has
recently experienced hardships. The Ballroom Blitz, known for its vibrant music venue and underground art scene, provided the perfect backdrop for visitors to
experience a range of emotions amidst the chaos.
This opportunity to acquire a piece of Rachel K’s cutting-edge art was not to be missed. Each piece was available for purchase both during and after the exhibition, with the option
for customization to make it truly one-of-a-kind. This was a chance to take home a masterpiece that seamlessly blended technology, art, childhood, and
nostalgia, all in one breathtaking experience.
