A partnership with the Lebanese Basketball Federation to support the team over a year
Beirut, Lebanon – 2023: Within the framework of its initiative in supporting its homeland, and its firm belief in its determination, Spinneys launched a partnership with the Lebanese Basketball Federation to support the Lebanese national team in the World Cup, along with other matches and tournaments that will follow later over the year, becoming the main official sponsor of this event that brings back Lebanese basketball to its glory through the participating champions that are raising the name of Lebanon.
To this end, Spinneys will also hold a public event to be schedule later this month to celebrate the partnership on a national level. It will also allow basketball fans to live the events on Lebanese soil, and encourage their team by purchasing sports jerseys of their favorite players, which are available in all its branches, in addition to other products specially designed for this occasion with pictures of the team to support it.
Commenting on this national partnership, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Gray Mackenzie Retail Group, Hassan Ezzeldine, disclosed the following “We are proud to be the official sponsor of our national team through this partnership, to bring back the Lebanon we dream of to the map of developed countries, and raise Lebanese sports to international levels. This country has proven once again its ability to advance the determination of its people and the ambition of its youth, hoping that the team will achieve the aspired hopes and all aspirations and goals.” He also added “We wish all the success to our champions, we also commend the efforts of the Lebanese Basketball Federation and all those in charge of this game, who were able to defy all the difficult circumstances to allow Lebanon to shine”.
For his part, the President of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, Akram Halabi, thanked Spinneys for this sponsorship and added “Lebanon is in dire need today of our solidarity as a society and partners in all sectors to help it achieve its desired goals through the participation of its national team in the World Cup. We salute the determination of our heroes who have proven the extent of the love for Lebanon and basketball, and who defied all difficult circumstances to reach the world. It is an achievement in itself. Your support will increase our team’s determination and enhance the feeling of belonging and the spirit of solidarity in its ranks, so that together we bring back joy to the hearts of the Lebanese people.”
This national initiative is one of many initiated by Spinneys in support of the country and its people, and this time, the objective behind it was to bring joy back to the Lebanese by realizing a new dream through international sports participation, which in the past imprinted on them the most beautiful memories.
