To celebrate the launching of its newly released vintage Red 2010, Domaine de Bargylus organized a private tasting at Vintage wine cellar (Saifi, Beirut) on Tuesday September 23rd, 2014.
Introduced to this terroir which grapes are grown on Jebel Al Ansariyeh on the outskirts of the port city of Lattakia, at 900m. above sea level, both wine amateurs and connoisseurs appreciated Domaine de Bargylus new millesime made of a blend of international varieties with a dominance of Syrah (60%) Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) & Merlot (20%).
Mediterranean in style, Bargylus elegantly combines strength and refinement: it has a strong color, the range of aroma is perceivable through the fresh fruit and minerality that translates the very shingly soil. The balance between sweetness, that comes with sunniness and the grapes’ full maturity, and salinity that comes with limestone, allows Bargylus to convey a strong soil identity and an inimitable taste.
