Beirut, 16 September 2014: The new Volvo Retail Experience facility, inaugurated in Dora, Seaside Road, in the presence of Volvo Cars General manager for Middle East, North Africa and the CIS, EmreKaraer, the General Manager of Gabriel AbouAdal& Co., the sole agent of Volvo Cars, Trucks and Buses in Lebanon, Marwan Naffi, and the President of Beirut Marathon Association, May El Khalil, witnessed the announcement of a new partnership between Volvo – Lebanon and Beirut Marathon Association. Press and media people as well as Volvo car fans in Lebanon were present in the event.
Mr. Marwan Naffi welcomed the attendance and highlighted some of Volvo’s recent achievements in Lebanon, such as the family street festival held in front of Volvo showroom, the hosting of the Swedish racing champion, Thed Bjork, and the social initiative “Only the Lonely” launched recently by Volvo in Lebanon. He also talked about the partnership between Volvo – Lebanon and Beirut Marathon Association, which “has been inspiring unity and positively changing lifestyles since it strongly believes in Lebanon and in the need to improve our society”.
Mr. Karaer praised the achievements of Volvo – Lebanon in the Middle East throughout the years, saying “They have always maintained their top position in the region, being pioneers and leaders in various fields.” He announced that the new Volvo XC90 will be launched soon in Lebanon and wished further success to Gabriel AbouAdal& Co.
As for Ms. May El Khalil, she expressed her happiness with this partnership and talked about the exceptional characteristics of Volvo that prompted Beirut Marathon Association to select it to be their official car, especially that Volvo vehicles combine sporty design, outstanding performance, modernity and advanced technology. Those characteristics are favored by sports lovers, particularly BMA that has always sought to collaborate with the best in the industry.
The guests made a tour inside the new modern and trendy showroom of Volvo characterized by its Swedish luxury and elegance and enjoyed the stunning line-up of Volvo cars. They also checked the Maintenance Department, equipped with the latest technology, which once again confirms the eagerness of Volvo – Lebanon to offer its customers a holistic experience of safety, luxury and peace of mind!
