Exclusive edition enhances the Z line-up with subtle design details inspired by Nissan performance heritage
Dubai, UAE (05 May 2026): Nissan has announced the arrival of the new 2026 Nissan Z Heritage Edition in the Middle East, marking the regional debut of a special edition that celebrates the brand’s performance heritage. Introduced as a distinctive addition to the Z line-up, the limited production Heritage Edition draws inspiration from Nissan’s high-performance legacy, including design cues linked to the iconic GT-R, offering enthusiasts in the region a model designed to resonate with a deep appreciation for performance heritage.
Based on the seventh-generation Nissan Z, the Heritage Edition is defined by focused exterior enhancements that elevate its visual presence while remaining true to the model’s design philosophy. Finished in Midnight Purple, an iconic exterior color first introduced on the legendary Nissan GT-R, the model is complemented by bronze 19-inch RAYS alloy wheels, reinforcing its motorsport-inspired character and exclusivity.
Speaking on the arrival of the new special edition, Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President and President, Middle East, KSA, CIS and India – Nissan and INFINITI, said: “The Middle East has long been home to one of the world’s most passionate communities of performance car enthusiasts. With the Nissan Z Heritage Edition, we are offering customers in the region a model that speaks directly to this passion, combining the legacy of the Z with design inspiration drawn from the legendary GT-R. This special edition has been introduced for drivers who value heritage and driving excitement, reinforcing our commitment to delivering vehicles that resonate strongly with our customers in the Middle East.”
While the Midnight Purple exterior and bronze RAYS wheels establish a clear link to Nissan’s GT-R lineage, the overall design of the Z Heritage Edition continues to reflect the evolution of the Z nameplate. Its long-hood, short-deck proportions and driver-focused stance pay homage to earlier generations, including visual cues inspired by the fourth-generation Z, the 300ZX (Z32).
Inside the cabin, the Z delivers a driver-centric cockpit that blends modern technology with classic Z-inspired details. A 12.3-inch customizable digital meter display, three analog pod gauges and intuitive control placement reinforce the strong human-machine bond that has defined the Z experience for more than five decades.
Power comes from a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine producing 400 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 475 Nm of torque from 1,600 to 5,600 rpm, delivering responsive performance across a wide rev range. In the Middle East, the Nissan Z Heritage Edition will be available with a choice of 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission, equipped with an advanced launch assist control system to optimize acceleration and manage wheelspin, or a 9-speed automatic transmission that delivers direct and quick acceleration through a wide gear ratio spread.
Complementing its performance credentials, the Nissan Z Heritage Edition features a comprehensive suite of driver assistance and safety technologies, including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning. Connectivity and in-cabin entertainment are supported by an 8-speaker Bose® Audio System and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and Bluetooth® hands-free phone system with audio streaming capabilities.
The Nissan Z Heritage Edition joins the Nissan Z and Nissan Z NISMO as part of Nissan’s sports car line-up in the Middle East, further strengthening the brand’s performance offering in the region. Offered in limited production across the Middle East, the Z Heritage Edition provides enthusiasts with a rare opportunity to own a distinctive interpretation of Nissan performance heritage. The complete Nissan Z range is available for purchase across Nissan’s authorized dealer network in the Middle East.
