Beirut, Lebanon – September 2026: Kettaneh Mobility, part of Kettaneh Group and a leading automotive group in Lebanon, has introduced 212 to the Lebanese market, marking the arrival of an iconic off-road name with a heritage spanning more than six decades.
For the brand’s introduction, Kettaneh Mobility chose a setting that speaks directly to 212’s character: the rugged landscape of Laklouk. Selected media, influencers, customers and guests were invited to get behind the wheel of the 212 T01 and experience the 212 T01 first-hand across an outdoor driving environment designed to reflect the brand’s adventurous spirit and capability.
The 212 T01 arrives in Lebanon with a bold, retro inspired design and a capable part time four wheel drive system engineered to tackle challenging terrain.
Its body-on-frame construction and high ground clearance reinforce its purpose-built off-road character, while a 2.0L turbocharged engine delivering 248 HP and 410 Nm of torque, an 8-speed automatic transmission and 8 driving modes provide the performance and versatility for journeys both on and beyond the road.

The story of 212 dates back to 1965, when the original vehicle was developed as a military command vehicle by Beijing Automobile Works (BAW), whose automotive heritage dates to 1951. Built around durability, functionality and genuine off-road capability, the 212 went on to establish a distinctive identity of its own. In 2024, 212 was relaunched as a dedicated off-road brand, carrying that heritage into a new generation. Today, its modern interpretation retains the unmistakable boxy silhouette and purpose built character associated with the original, while introducing contemporary performance, technology and comfort for a new generation of drivers.
The Lebanese line up will comprise three trims, allowing customers to choose the 212 experience that best reflects how they drive and explore:
- 212 T01 Adventurer, focused on adventure and capability.
- 212 T01 Gulf, balancing rugged character with everyday comfort and versatility.
- 212 T01 Navigator: the top trim, offering enhanced features and the most capable off-road 212 experience.
The 212 T01 is available starting from $36,900 excluding VAT and registration and to support customers throughout their ownership journey, the vehicle is offered with a 5 Years warranty or 150,000 KMs, whichever comes first.
The arrival of the brand will be followed by the opening of a dedicated 212 showroom in September 2026, located at El Abiad Center, Service Road, Dbayeh Highway. The new showroom will provide customers with a dedicated destination to discover the 212 T01 line up, explore the different trims and engage directly with the 212 Lebanon team.
