The CMA CGM Group, through its subsidiary CEVA Logistics, announces the completion of its acquisition of the Fattal Group, following receipt of all required regulatory approvals. This milestone follows the April 14, 2026, announcement of the agreement between the two groups.
This acquisition marks a major step in the CMA CGM Group’s development strategy to provide customers with integrated logistics solutions spanning the entire supply chain, from the original supplier to the end customer, and covering all activities from maritime transportation to distribution. The CMA CGM Group’s expertise and innovation will strengthen Fattal’s position in both local and international markets.
With over a century of expertise, the Fattal Group distributes a wide range of products across three main business segments: consumer goods and electronics, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and beauty and fashion. It brings to CMA CGM a recognized know-how, a longstanding presence in the Middle East and North Africa markets, and highly qualified teams. The complementarity of the two groups will enable the development of significant commercial, operational, and financial synergies through the cross-selling of client portfolios, the complementarity of logistics platforms and distribution networks, and the sharing of expertise. This alliance will enhance the quality of services offered to customers and accelerate the development of a leading regional platform.
Beyond its strategic dimension, this acquisition is a long-term investment in Lebanon. It reflects the CMA CGM Group’s continued confidence in the country’s potential, the quality of its talent, and its ability to regain its full role at the heart of regional trade.
Present in Lebanon since its creation in 1978, the CMA CGM Group has consistently invested in the country, expanded its activities, and created jobs. With the integration of the Fattal Group, the Group will now employ nearly 4,000 people in Lebanon, making it one of the country’s main private-sector employers and further confirming its role in the development of the Lebanese economy.
Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CMA CGM Group, said: “This acquisition marks a new milestone in our Group’s development. It strengthens our ability to offer increasingly efficient integrated logistics solutions to our customers and reflects our long-standing confidence in Lebanon. We believe in the country’s future and will continue to invest, create jobs, and develop high-value-added activities.”
