We were honored to meet with His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun, at Baabda Palace as part of LIBS’s ongoing commitment to supporting the development of Lebanon’s insurance sector.
During the meeting, we reaffirmed our support for efforts aimed at strengthening state institutions and promoting stability, recognizing their essential role in fostering economic growth and creating a healthier environment for the insurance industry.
We also highlighted LIBS’s role as the legitimate representative of insurance brokers in Lebanon and shared our continued efforts to advance the profession, elevate professional standards, enhance policyholder protection, and strengthen collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Trade, regulatory authorities, and industry stakeholders to modernize and regulate the sector while combating unlawful practices.
President Aoun underscored the importance of the insurance sector and the vital contribution of insurance brokers in serving citizens and supporting the national economy. He emphasized the need for continued efforts to strengthen regulation and governance across all sectors.
The President also encouraged closer coordination between LIBS and the Ministry of Economy and Trade to serve the interests of all stakeholders, including regulators, insurance companies, and brokers, while contributing to the growth of the insurance market and reinforcing public confidence in the sector.
LIBS President Talal Ounsi also reaffirmed the syndicate’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the insurance sector, enhance professional standards, and promote constructive cooperation among all industry stakeholders.
This meeting reflects LIBS’s ongoing mission to represent insurance brokers, safeguard the interests of the profession, and contribute to the advancement of the insurance sector as a key pillar of Lebanon’s economic and social stability.
