Beirut, Lebanon – 17.12.25 — LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital marked a historic milestone on December 9 with a prestigious gala dinner at AVA Venue, the culminating event of its centennial celebrations, honoring 100 years of unwavering commitment to medical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
The gala brought together an exceptional lineup of national officials, dignitaries, diplomats, healthcare leaders, philanthropists, and longstanding partners, reflecting the profound legacy and national significance of LAU Medical Center – Rizk Hospital.
Among the distinguished attendees were Minister Kamal Shehadeh representing H.E. Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, and H.E. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister along MP Dr. Fadi Alameh representing H.E. Nabih Berri, as well as ambassadors, consuls general, former ministers and MPs, donors, trustees, LAU leadership, and CEOs and CMOs of Lebanon’s major medical institutions.
The evening opened with a refined welcome experience and immersive installations celebrating 100 Years of LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital, featuring a timeline that traced the institution’s journey from a 12-bed clinic to one of the country’s leading medical centers, highlighting key medical milestones and pioneering firsts. This was followed by a formal program featuring the national anthem, alma mater, and keynote addresses by Mr. Sami Rizk, CEO of LAUMC–Rizk Hospital, and Dr. Chaouki Abdallah, President of LAU.
A special moment honored the Rizk Family with the Legacy Trophy, commemorating their foundational role in the medical center’s century-long journey.
The celebration continued with a curated corporate video, an artistic ballerina performance, and a live musical show by Manal Mallat and her band, filling the evening with elegance, emotion, and pride in the institution’s enduring mission.
As a meaningful gesture, LAU Medical Center – Rizk Hospital planted a cedar tree in Hrajel on behalf of guests, symbolizing resilience, heritage, and the hospital’s commitment to a sustainable future.
