The staff representatives of the French Embassy in Lebanon, in collaboration with France Volontaires and with the logistical support of the French Institute of Lebanon, are organizing a market called “Le Souk Solidaire” (The Solidarity Bazaar) on Friday, June 9th from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 10th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The Souk Solidaire will be held on the embassy campus and will provide a free exhibition space for NGOs working to preserve traditional crafts and assist the underprivileged.
The objective of the Souk Solidaire is to promote solidarity and local development in Lebanon by offering NGOs and local artisans a platform to exhibit and sell their products in a fair manner. In a festive and warm atmosphere, visitors will have the opportunity to discover local products, engage with exhibitors, and participate in cultural activities for all ages.
A call for participation has already been posted on the social media channels of the French Embassy in Lebanon, inviting all interested NGOs to submit their applications.
The selection of applications will be carried out by a jury composed of representatives from the embassy staff, France Volontaires, and the embassy itself. The complete program and the list of selected NGOs will be announced soon.
