Women’s leadership has been gaining more attention in recent years as women have been proving their abilities in various sectors, especially in the economic field. The Women Leaders Association (WLA) is a non-profit organization that aims to empower and support women in the economic sector in Lebanon and the Arab world, positioning Lebanon as an Edutainment hub (executive education & entertainment) & destination for Arab women.
In this article, we discussed with Ingrid Raad Dahdah – CEO & founder of Diffa Group as well as founding board member of WLA and Head of its Tourism committee – about the upcoming WLA’s conference “Ana Lubnanya Arabiya” and the organization’s contributions to promoting the role of women. Noting that Diffa Group has been actively training and empowering thousands of Lebanese youth for the past 22 years, by providing ushers, Team leaders, assistants, tutors, call center agents thus covering more than 13,500 missions in the events & corporate fields.
The second edition of WLA’s Ana Lubnanya Arabiya will be held in Lebanon in May 2023, after taking place for the 1st time in Dubai Expo 2020 last year. The event will include several panels, workshops, featuring personalities from the Business / Tourism / Media & Education sectors who will share their stories and achievements. The conference is coupled with:
- “She Leads” executive program designed by WLA in collaboration with USEK and will be
- followed by a Gala dinner starring the women graduating from the program. This conference
- a unique well-being day for the participating women, covering eco-tourism and useful workshops.
WLA’s mission is to highlight the role of women in the economic sector by organizing networking sessions, power talks, collaborating on projects, highlighting their achievements, showcasing their businesses, and pushing them forward to hold key positions in the economic and political sectors.
We encourage hardworking & ambitious women to join our members’ community, to come together and benefit from each other’s experiences, business ideas, and career opportunities. We strongly believe that Lebanese women have a significant role in the growth of the local and Arab economies, as they master multi-tasking between family care, home care while handling jobs and careers.
Of course, the strong crisis that Lebanon is facing made their role harder and more challenging, but they remain a vital pillar to the economy and continue to hold the fort.
In conclusion, WLA is making valuable efforts to promote women’s leadership in the economic sector and to provide them with opportunities to develop their skills and businesses. Register at Ana Lubnanya Arabiya upcoming conference to benefit from its excellent platform of networking and exchange with successful women in different fields.
